About the Role

This position is primarily administrative in nature, with a strong emphasis on SARS-related processes. The successful candidate will support our clients by preparing and managing Approval of International Transfer (AIT) applications through SARS eFiling. While experience in tax administration is beneficial, this role is not tax-specialist focused —it is best suited to someone with SARS eFiling familiarity and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Administration

• Prepare and submit AIT applications via SARS eFiling on behalf of clients.
• Monitor submission statuses and manage follow-ups, including document resubmissions or clarifications when required.
• Coordinate with clients to collect necessary supporting documentation and ensure accurate, compliant submissions.
• Handle provisional tax submissions, where applicable.

Compliance & Regulatory Support

• Track SARS compliance requirements for individual clients and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
• Assist with obtaining tax clearances for offshore allowances.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SARS regulations relevant to AIT and international transfers.

Client Liaison & Support

• Engage directly with clients to guide them through the document collection and AIT process.
• Provide clarity on filing obligations, refunds, and potential tax liabilities.
• Liaise with SARS to resolve verifications, audits, and client queries as needed.

Administrative & Operational Support

• Maintain internal logs and audit trails of submissions, correspondence, and SARS feedback.
• Collaborate with compliance and trading teams to ensure smooth integration of tax processes.
• Provide broader support to the operations team, particularly around onboarding and trading documentation.
